Anaisa Franco has a Master in Digital Art and Technology from the University of Plymouth, UK, and a BA in Visual Arts from FAAP in Sao Paulo. She is represented by the galleries Central in Brazil and Adora Calvo in Spain. Her practice centres mainly on interactive sculptures and installations that interconnect the physical with the digital, in search of chemistry between materials and using concepts of psychology and dreams to invest her sculptures with behaviours, feelings and imagination.
In recent years she has been developing digital artworks in media labs, residencies and commissions and has exhibited in America, Asia and Europe including the Exit Festival in Paris; Arco Madrid; Europalia in Brussels; Live Ammo at MOCA Museum of Contemporary Art in Taipei; Tékhne at MAB Museum of Brazilian Art in Sao Paulo; Sonarmática at CCCB in Barcelona; the 5th Seoul International Media Art Biennale; Vision Play at Medialab Prado; Slow at Plymouth Art Centre in England and many others.
